When it comes to weight loss, is your scale a friend or foe?

It is understandable you want to see positive results when you have been working hard at your weight loss program, but what if you have had a great week, did all the right things and your scale says otherwise in spite of your efforts? For many, that can be enough to give up and head back to old ways. The reality is, physiological changes take time. Your body may be making the adjustments but at it's own pace, not your expectations. There are a few other reason why the scale isn't moving in the direction you want it to. If you are exercising and gaining muscles, the scale often won't show a difference but your clothes will as muscle weighs more than fat. Try to always weigh yourself at the same time of the day. Your weight can fluctuate throughout the day depending on a variety of factors. At OneBowl Weight Loss we recommend that you choose a pair of pants that you want to fit into again. Use those pants as a gauge to see if what you are doing is giving you the results want.
